Yoga Therapy

Healing that includes the body, not just the mind.

Some struggles are hard to think our way out of. As a Professional Yoga Therapist (PYT) as well as a licensed clinician, I offer an individualized, body-centered approach that connects breath, movement, and emotion — rarely found in traditional talk therapy.

What is yoga therapy?

Yoga therapy is different from a group yoga class. It's a one-on-one, customized process that uses yoga's tools — gentle postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and mindful lifestyle adjustments — to address specific emotional and physical health goals. You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at yoga." You just need to show up as you are.

Why combine it with therapy?

Anxiety, stress, grief, and trauma don't just live in our thoughts — they live in our bodies, in tight shoulders, shallow breath, and a nervous system stuck on high alert. By pairing evidence-based talk therapy with body-based practice, we can reach places that words alone sometimes can't.

  • Calm an overactive nervous system and reduce physical tension
  • Build a felt sense of safety and groundedness
  • Reconnect with your body in a gentle, supportive way
  • Develop practices you can use anytime, anywhere

Always at your pace

Yoga therapy is always optional and fully tailored to you — your comfort, your body, your goals. For some clients it becomes the heart of our work together; for others it's an occasional tool. We'll find what serves you.
